Signing of Memorandum: KMG PetroChem LLP and universities join forces to solve the problems of providing highly qualified personnel for oil and gas chemical industry.
KMG PetroChem LLP (hereinafter - KMG PetroChem) initiated the signing of a bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation on personnel training for the integrated gas chemical complex under construction in the Atyrau region. The partners were Safi Utebayev Atyrau Oil and Gas University, APEC PetroTechnic Higher College and the Atyrau Branch of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
The conclusion of the Memorandum is in line with the strategic goals of KMG PetroChem aimed at active development of the domestic oil and gas chemical industry, which is an important factor in the growth of the national economy due to its multiplier effect.
As Abdinadir Aitmatov, Director of the Business Support Department, noted: The oil and gas chemical industry in Kazakhstan is in its infancy, so large-scale projects will need highly qualified engineers such as mechanics, process technologists and chemists. There will also be a need for qualified technical specialists in various fields of activity, including technicians, operators, etc. with knowledge of modern production and practical skills.
The main areas of cooperation cover a set of measures aimed at strengthening professional potential in the oil and gas chemical industry: this includes joint development and adjustment of educational programs, research and development work with subsequent implementation of the results in the production process and is aimed at improving the qualifications of both KMG PetroChem employees and academic staff of educational institutions.
As part of the initiatives, KMG PetroChem undertakes to provide students with access to on-the-job and pre-graduation practical training and internships at its facilities, supporting them in their future employment.
In return, the educational institutions will provide students with comprehensive support, including assistance in adapting curricula and providing a venue for joint educational and scientific events, thus ensuring fruitful cooperation at all levels.
